This is the old stamp mill at the base of B-Hill in Barstow. View is looking East from the Bradshaw Road area. The mill had various names over the years but I believe was last owned by the Barstow Metals Extraction Company. Previously was the Randsburg-Santa Fe Reduction Co. The photo is likely early 1900’s.

Here’s a little on the history: 1901 — 1910: the Bagdad Mining and Milling Company sent their first shipment of ore to the Randsburg-Santa Fe Reduction Company’s stamp mill in Barstow in late 1901. The mill was equipped with fifty (50) 1,000-pound stamps and five regrinders, and had a cyanide plant with a capacity of 200 short tons of ore per day.
