Exploring Wrightwood was such a pleasure. Early on I had met Helga Walner, photographer, who with Dillie Thomas, painter owned the Four Seasons Art Gallery in the Wrightwood Village. Helga was very encouraging to me. I loved her photos and she had very good things to say about mine. I spent about 9 years photographing homes for sale up there and building websites. In between jobs or even sometimes instead of working I would drive and hike around the forest looking for places to take pictures. Beautiful place. Loved the mountains ever since I was a kid. I used to live on the other side–
